Oct. 15 deadline: The Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce is accepting applications for the Georgia Rural Enhancement and Transformation of Health Program (GREAT Health Program) Rural Graduate Medical Education Development Grant Program. The funding opportunity will support the development and expansion of graduate medical education (GME) programs serving rural Georgia, with priority given to high-need specialties. Eligible applicants may receive up to $3 million for activities, including program planning and development, accreditation, new rural training sites, specialty tracks, training infrastructure, and other GME expansion activities. Applications are due Oct. 15.

Active Rural Hospital Grants (Non-RHTP)
New Rural Health Transformation Resources from CMS: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released a guide for all state and local participants in the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program to raise awareness of federally supported and independent public health coalitions and resources. CMS created the guide in partnership with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and the Office of Rural Health within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It is found under RHTP Resources at Medicaid.gov.
