Georgia Society of Volunteer and Retail Professionals

The Georgia Society of Volunteer and Retail Professionals (GSVRP) promotes and enhances organized volunteer programs in a health care organization by providing educational programs, networking opportunities and recognizing service and program excellence.

Society dues are $75/year per society and provide valuable member-only access and discounts on your society annual conference and other educational opportunities throughout the year.

Join us for the GSVRP Virtual Annual Conference on March 28! We recognize that many departments have ongoing travel and budget restrictions due to the pandemic, so we have changed the format this year from in-person to virtual. We have planned a day for learning and networking with our colleagues from around the state, and it is our sincere hope that the virtual format will allow everyone the opportunity to participate and to learn and grow in your profession.


Early bird rate -$45 ends Monday, March 7

GSVRP rate -  $50 after March 7.

Non-GSVRP member rate - $75


GSVRP Topic Driven Monthly Calls

Please join your industry peers to talk about pressing issues. These calls typically last 1 hour and you must be a member to participate. Contact Kati Hyland for further information.


The awards honor outstanding service by health care volunteer and retail professionals. 

  • The Best Practice Award recognizes outstanding volunteer programs. These may be in areas such as community outreach, in-house programs or fundraising. Please consider submitting programs that you may have had to adapt to COVID-19 situations with volunteers and/or staff.
  • The Resiliency Award is based on the resiliency of these professionals during these unprecedented times who have overcome tremendous obstacles by demonstrating flexibility, determination, and innovation. 
  • The Outstanding Gift Shop Award recognizes gift shops that have enhanced, complemented or promoted the facility's mission and vision through new innovation or successful improvements.
  • The Wyn Award is presented to a GSVRP member for outstanding service and is voted on by the GSVRP Leadership Team. This award is not necessarily given every year, but is presented to someone who has made an exceptional contribution to the society.
