Georgia Society for Hospital Engineers (GSHE)
The purpose of the Georgia Society for Hospital Engineers (GSHE) is to:
- Promote and enhance the practice of hospital engineering in a health care setting.
- To provide activities for its members that will help them to develop skills in hospital engineering, and in the administration of professional responsibilities, or in the management of the healthcare facilities.
- To represent the society in their dealings with the Association.
- To provide a communication vehicle for the dissemination of information on current practices, new knowledge or technology related to its area of expertise and for the application of technologies developed by other occupations and professions.
- To provide a forum on health care issues and explore and explain the impact of these issues on hospitals and facility management.
- To provide to the association upon its request assistance and resources in the society's area of expertise.
- To provide educational opportunities for the members of the society The Georgia Society for Hospital Engineers. It is one of many professional societies affiliated with the Georgia Hospital Association. Each society, while under the administrative and financial auspices of GHA, is autonomous, having its own bylaws, elected officers and programs.
