Heart disease is the leading cause of death in Georgia. It accounts
for 17,406 deaths or approximately 27% of the state's deaths in
2000. The national death rate was 219.1 per 100,000 population.
(National Vital Statistics Report 2002;50(15)).

stable coronary artery disease: percentage of patients who also
have diabetes and/or LVSD who were prescribed ACE inhibitor therapy.
Chronic
stable coronary artery disease: percentage of patients who were
prescribed a statin.

stable coronary artery disease: percentage of patients who were
prescribed antiplatelet therapy.
Chronic
stable coronary artery disease: percentage of patients with prior
myocardial infarction who were prescribed beta-blocker therapy.
