Goal 3.03 Goal 3.04 Goal 3.05

How to make a screensaver:

1. RIGHT click on the above PowerPoint and choose “save target as.”

2. Put the PowerPoint on your desktop (or anywhere that you can subsequently find). Close the web.

3. Navigate to where you put the PowerPoint file. Open the PowerPoint in the usual way. Then, do File, and click on “save as” from the file menu.

4. At the top, change the file location (where you want it saved) to “My Documents/My pictures.” You can click on my documents on the side and then do the dropdown to get to My Pictures.

5. Where it says “save as type,” use the drop down arrow and choose “gif” (or jpeg or png, it doesn’t matter).

6. PowerPoint will ask you if you want to export every slide in the presentation. Click “yes”

7. When it says it’s done, close PowerPoint.

8. Go back to your desktop and choose a blank space. Right click and choose Properties.

9. Click the Screen Saver tab at the top.

10. In the dropdown list box under “Screen saver”(mid page), choose “My Pictures Slideshow”

11.Click on settings. Halfway down it says “Use pictures in this folder.” Click on Browse and find your folder with the posters in it. Double click the name of the folder. Click on okay.

You now have a screensaver that scrolls thru all the goals.
