What's New with CARE?

We have added several exciting new things to the CARE suite of products!  Here are a few options you need to try out:

1.  You can now drill down by ICD-9 principle diagnosis or principle procedure codes

2.  The POA flag has been incorporated into the patient level detail!  This helps in assuring that the data that is in your UB04 data is being coded correctly and sent to the database.

3.   You can now drill down by APS-DRG stem level

 

New Measures for The Joint Commission

Please note that Hospitals which currently use the Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP) measure set to satisfy part of their ORYX core measure reporting requirements will be required to incorporate the new SCIP Inf-9 and SCIP Inf-10 measures into their SCIP data collection and reporting processes effective with October 1, 2009 discharges.  Additionally, effective September 30, 2009, SCIP Inf-7 will be retired and The Joint Commission will no longer accept data for that measure.
